Chasing Hope

I was recently asked why I identify myself as a survivor despite being on cancer treatment.
This is why:
I’m a cancer because I’m still fighting every single day of my life💞💞

Survivorship is more than being cancer free...
it is waking up each morning knowing that you have killer cells in your body but you still choose to live a day at a time, make memories, laugh at your struggles, seek help, empathise with fellow patients and survivors, enjoy life to the fullest, feel depressed at times, cry yourself to sleep and waking up with a burst of energy, positivity, love and hope... this is just a tip of the iceberg, there is way more to survivorship...

I do go through a lot, I just don’t look/ wear my problems, worries & fears because I am more than this disease
but I choose to pursue happiness, joy, love and above all HOPE... while I’m at it, I allow myself to FEEL- all my feeling are valid, so are yours 😊🥰
