I had some good time with KQ captain, copilot, and crew that transported Raila Odinga's body from India to JKIA in Nairobi.

In the process, I learnt a few things about aviation on Thursday.

Pilots have eight days off every month, when the plane is on autopilot, one of the pilots has a 4 hours rest on long haul flights (Eg Nairobi to New York) and a 40 minutes rest on short flights.

Also, unlike matatus, a pilot is not assigned to a specific aeroplane or a specific route.
