Reproductive health is a critical aspect of overall well-being, particularly for adolescent girl. The girl child continues to face myriad of challenges associated with inadequate menstrual facilities including poor menstrual hygiene management where girls may result to using unhygienic materials during menstruation, school absenteeism during their period due to embarrassment, discomfort and lack of sanitary pads, health risk such as infections and even cervical cancer and psychological impacts. Despite the efforts put in place to ensure that challenges of reproductive health issues of a girl child are addressed in Kenya, there is need to invest more to ensure reproductive health is attained.
