Normalcy is not anymore. Youth who are, year in year out, promised opportunities no longer patient. An Ololmasani ward resident, a fresh Tenwek School of Nursing graduate, 23, Oscar Kiprotich Kitur has declared a fierce political war with the incumbent but lethal Bomori Kipkoech Arap Tembur.

As has been, the youth are being promised of future leadership opportunities but to him, enough is enough. He has declared his intent to vie for the area member of county assembly position to unseat the current mca who is currently seen as a genius politician who his handlers believe to have no political competitor come 2027's general election though he is a first term mca.

Oscar, a new energetic character with a lot of charisma weighs in as a perfect development oriented character needed by the Ololmasani ward electorates.

He presents a new force, against which no one will have imagined.

He is now to battle it out with the incumbent kipkoech Tembur, a politician who he is rumoured could be the gubernatorial running mate to the Narok West Mp Gabriel Tongoyo come 2027, former police officer Peter Bwogo Sang and the current Simotwet high school Bursar Mr. Ngeno.

Chances are, he might clinch to the position with immense ease.

This comes at a time when the electorates are immersed in heavy challenges of insufficient clean water, youth unemployment etcetera and Oscar could be a gamechanger come the next general election.

What is of great interest is that elders from the vicinity have approached him as they had heard of his intention to take off the yoke from the residents, in a bid to bless and support his bid to be the area MCA.

The mother of a boy who was allegedly assaulted by Mugango Parish Priest Fr. JohnPaul has come out in defense of the priest.

Mrs Betty who doubles up as a teacher at St Peter's Primary school said the boy had a fist fight with is elder brother and the priest was trying to discipline when he escaped through the fence and in the process got injured.

The School Deputy Alfred Ngetich and Church Categist Joel Langat who witnessed the incident said the incident was blown out of proportion adding that the priest was unfairly targeted.

Mugango Sub Location Senior Assitant Chief Richard Rotich said the matter was under investigation and warned youth against misusing the social media inappropriately.
