SS ASSAD FOOTBALL CLUB IS A PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL CLUB BASED IN UKUNDA, KWALE, THAT PLAYS IN THE DIVISION ONE LEAGUE , THE TOP FLIGHT OF KENYAN FOOTBALL.

Assad was the first club from the South coast to join The Football League and they reached the second Division and was never Relegated.They continued the longest streak in the top division and have won the most top-flight matches in Coast football history. In the 1990s, ASSAD won several League and tournaments. They completed the 20th century with the highest average league position.

Mark Shida was the longest-serving manager and won the most trophies. He won a record of most trophies , and his title-winning team set an Ukundan record for the longest top-flight unbeaten league matches receiving the nickname The sea lions of Ukunda.

Ali Ngenya is the current long serving assistant coach. He has aided Assad win several trophies. He is being credited for boosting and nurturing young talents which now play comfortable in the Division one league. Players like Dalo ,Fabi , Zipam , Dahil and many more are some of the players he has nurtured.
