Authority of the believer

Jesus, Yeshua Hamashiach of Nazareth, gave believers authority on this earth. What is the requirement for us to use our authority? We must place ourselves under the authority of Jesus, the Word of God, in order to use it.

James 4:7-8 NKJV "Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded."

We have authority over the stupid devil as long as we are submitted to God. God, Yahweh, is the Word. We must be under the authority of the Word of God. If we are under the authority of the Word of God, we will be obeying the Word and keeping our hands clean, keeping the sin out of our lives.

Jesus, Yeshua, by His shed blood on the cross gave us complete authority over the stupid devil.

Luke 10:19 NKJV "Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you."

If the devil is attacking you or your family, it is your fault. As a born-again believer, you have complete authority over him.

Jesus told us exactly how to pray using our authority.

Mark 11:22-26 NKJV "So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God."

We are to have complete faith and trust in God. God is the Word of God. (John 1:1 NKJV In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.") We are to simply believe and obey the Word of God.

If we have mountains in our lives: sickness, lack, pain, debt, disfavor etc., we are to speak to them. We do not pray and ask the Lord to do something about them. Why? Because He already has dealt with our mountains by giving us authority over them.

Jesus, Yeshua, gives us specific instructions.
