In 2005, I embarked on my path to becoming a Security Consultant and successfully completed a program in "Successful Security Consulting" with ASIS International. Reflecting on this journey, I faced some harsh realities that I believe are worth sharing:
A) Experience often outweighs certification, leaving me feeling Under-Qualified despite my achievements.
B)The adage "You're not a Prophet among your own tribe" rings true in the professional world.
C) Every experience, whether good or bad, imparts wisdom that cannot be gained from textbooks.
D) Patience is key in this journey - be prepared to wait, even if it takes 19 years.
