Taekwondo Cultural Exchange Program Schedule
Muju Taekwondo Cultural Expo Participation

1. Tour Period: July 16th - July 30th, 2024 (16 days)

2. Tour Purpose: Cultural exchange tour in addition to participating in the World Taekwondo Cultural Expo

3. Participation Fee: US$2,650/person

4. Tour Conditions:

● Expo participation fee: included
(excluding competition entry fees)
● Interpretation services and basic transportation will be available during the festival.
● A contact network will be in place for convenience services.
● Snacks, drinks, and other convenience services will be provided.

● Accommodation: 4-star hotel, double occupancy (except during the festival and expo, where organizer-provided accommodation will be used)
● Transportation: 40-seater large bus
● Meals: Korean set meals and all other meals and snacks (snacks and drinks)
● Entrance fees: All entrance fees and experience fees listed in the schedule are included.
● Guide: English speaking guide

Basic Korea travel itinerary

Day 1
Meeting in front of your arrival gate at Incheon Int'l Airport.

Day 2 Gyeongbokgung Palace & Kukkiwon

Visit Gwanghwamun square, Gyeongbokgung Palace and National Folk Museum of Korea.
Gyeongbokgung Palace is arguably the most beautiful and is the largest of all five palaces. Gyeongbokgung Palace retains the original Gyeonghoeru Pavilion, a prime example of Joseon architecture, and the Hyangwonjeong Pavilion and pond.

Day 3 DMZ Tour & NANTA Performance

Move to Cheorwon(About 2 hours from Seoul) 2nd Tunnel
The 2nd Tunnel, which was made by North Koreans to invade South Korea, was discovered on March 24, 1975.

Cheorwon peace obseratory
This observatory allows you to view the Demilitarized Zone and North Korea at a glance and catch sight of the North Korean military through binoculars.

Woljeong-ri station

Day 4 Jeonju Hanok Village

Move to Jeonju (About 3.5 hours from Seoul)
Jeonju Hanok Village with over 800 traditional Korea houses.

Move to Taekwondowon (About 1.5 hours)
The largest training space in the world for Taekwondo practitioners

Day 5 Taekwondowon

Participation in Taekwondowon tour and Taekwondo experience program
Watch Taekwondo Demonstration
Learning the Basic Kick Skills of Taekwondo.

※ For groups of 20 or more, special Taekwondo experience programs (2N1D, 2N3D etc.) hosted by Taekwondowon are available.

Day 6 Gyeongju
Move to Gyeongju (About 3 hours travel)

Gyeongju City is a world-class historical and cultural city as a repository of Korea's representative traditional cultural heritage

Bulguksa Temple
Bulguksa Temple is designated and managed as Korea's No. 1 historic scenic spot

Seokguram Grotto
The grotto was designed very harmoniously with the seated Buddha facing the East Sea. It is a valuable cultural heritage that is preserved and registered as a UNESCO World Heritage.

Daereungwon Tomb Complex (Tomb Complex consists of five tombs)

Day 7 Gyeongju, Golgulsa Temple Seonmudo Temple Stay

Woljeonggyo Bridge
Woljeonggyo Bridge located in Gyo-dong, Gyeongju was built during the Unified Silla period (AD 676-935), but was burnt down during the Joseon dynasty.

Hwangridan-gil
Hwangridan-gil is the youngest road in Gyeongju.
It is so hot that it has become an essential course that cannot be missed when traveling to Gyeongju.

Gamcheon Culture Villiage is formed by houses built in staircase-fashion on the foothills of a coastal mountain, earning this village the nickname "Machu Picchu of Busan.

Bupyeong (Kkangtong) Market
Busan's Bupyeong Market is also known as Kkangtong (tin can) Market. It earned that funny name when it had a variety of imported canned goods from the United States for the US forces stationed in Korea during the Korean War. Due to its vast property and many rare goods that were hard to find anywhere else during the time, it was also referred as "Gukje (International) Market."

Day 10 Chung-ju

Experience Korean Traditional Martial Arts "Taekkyeon"
Taekkyeon is a traditional Korean martial art that has been registered as a UNESCO Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
Taekkyeon is a delicate martial art of attack and defense that involves kicking and tripping using unique walking techniques.

Chungju, where Chungjuho Lake are located, is a place of water. Chungju, which has a natural environment suitable for water leisure, is growing into a city of water sports by hosting the Chungju World Rowing Championship in 2013. You can experience rowing games in person at the rowing experience school in Jungangtap Park.

Move to Youngin –City (About 1.5 hour trip by bus)

Yongin, located 30 minutes away from Seoul, is a good place for a weekend outing. Everland, the largest theme park in Korea, is a place where various events are held throughout the four seasons, making people happy.
