Three overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) are safe and recovering after sustaining injuries during the attack at Kuwait International Airport Terminal 1 on June 3, 2026, the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) said. No Filipino fatalities were reported in the incident.

Migrant Workers Secretary Hans Leo J. Cacdac, during the OFW Global Summit 2026 press conference on June 7, said the three OFWs were among airport personnel affected by the incident. One OFW was hospitalized due to smoke inhalation but has since been discharged, while two others received outpatient treatment. One of the injured workers, who sustained minor wounds to the scalp and arms, is now recovering at her residence in Kuwait.

Secretary Cacdac assured that the DMW, through its Migrant Workers Office in Kuwait, is closely monitoring the condition of the affected OFWs and providing the necessary assistance to support their recovery and welfare, in line with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to protect and assist Filipino workers wherever they may be. # # #
