CIREBA responds to Parliament’s real estate motion The Cayman Islands Real Estate Brokers Association has responded to Parliament’s 25 June motion to restrict non-Caymanian real estate agents.

ERA Cayman says property investment remains a pathway to permanent residency despite recent immigration reforms introduced on 1 May. While the changes updated rules covering work permits, employment, government fees and the route to Caymanian status, the Certificate of Permanent Residence for Persons of Independent Means remains available to applicants who meet the current requirements.

The real estate firm says buyer interest remains strong, particularly among high-net-worth individuals seeking stability, and is encouraging prospective investors to seek professional legal, financial and tax advice before making residency-linked property decisions.
