Road closure notices for National Heroes Day.

The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS) advises the public of the following road closures this weekend to facilitate the National Heroes Day Celebrations from Friday, 19 January at 6:00PM to Monday, 22 January, at 8:00PM.

⚠️ Fort Street will be closed between Seafarers Way and Edward Street.
⚠️ Edward Street will be closed at the junctions of Main Street and Cardinall Avenue.
⚠️ Edward Street will be temporarily closed at the junction of Dr. Roy’s Drive.
⚠️ Albert Panton Street will be closed at the junction of Cardinall Avenue.

The roads will be temporarily reopened from 12:00AM to 12:00PM on Saturday, 20 January.

The RCIPS advises motorists to exercise caution when travelling in these areas during these times.

On Friday 25 March:

▪️the Cayman Islands Coast Guard.

On Saturday 26 March:
▪️the Cayman Islands Fire Service,
▪️Her Majesty’s Cayman Islands Prison Service,
▪️the Cayman Islands Customs and Border Control,
▪️the Cayman Islands Regiment and
▪️the Cayman Islands Cadet Corps

National Heroes Day 2022 observations will involve far fewer participants than usual in keeping with current COVID-19 protocols. The event will be invitation-only. National Heroes Day ceremony in Heroes Square, George Town on Monday, 24 January 2022, 9-11 a.m. 🇰🇾
