Ally Olarou, one of the founding Directors of Autism Cayman, was honoured to commission Magpie Art to create a special artwork to commemorate the historic visit of Temple Grandin to the Cayman Islands.
🎓Dr. Grandin is internationally recognised for her groundbreaking work in humane livestock handling and for her powerful advocacy for neurodiversity. She was also named one of Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People.
🎨This piece was created as a tribute to her inspiring visit and the impact she continues to have around the world. During her visit, Dr. Grandin personally signed the original artwork, along with a limited number of prints and photographs, making them truly special commemorative pieces.
At Autism Cayman, we remain proud to be the Cayman Islands’ longstanding autism charity — operating with transparency, integrity, and a steadfast commitment to supporting and advocating for individuals living with autism and their families. 💙

🏫We would like to extend our sincere thanks to The Lighthouse School for their generous support of our 2nd Annual Autism Cayman Symposium 💙
By kindly loaning all the tables used for our exhibitor and charity booths, you played an essential role in helping us create a welcoming and well-organised space for our partners, organisations, and attendees. Your support helped ensure that every exhibitor had the opportunity to share their work and connect meaningfully with the community. 🤝
We are deeply grateful for all the staff at the Lighthouse School including Principal Denise Williams and Deputy Principal Deniece Williams for your continued contribution and collaboration in supporting inclusive events that bring people together and make a real difference. 🍎

🎨We extend our heartfelt thanks to Caymanian artist Gale Tibbetts for creating and generously donating a beautiful Caymanite bolo tie for Dr. Temple Grandin. 🐎
This unique piece was presented by Hon. André Ebanks as the official thank-you gift from the Cayman Islands in recognition of Dr. Grandin’s historic visit and her incredible contribution to our symposium. Crafted with care and meaning, it is a true reflection of Caymanian heritage and artistry. 🏝️
Caymanite is found only in the Cayman Islands, and no two pieces are ever the same—each one formed naturally with its own distinct patterns and character. In many ways, it beautifully reflects what we celebrate in autism: that every mind is unique, valuable, and deserving of understanding and appreciation. 🙏
We are deeply grateful for your generosity in sharing such a meaningful piece of our culture with a global advocate whose work continues to inspire so many.
💙 Many thanks Gale Tibbetts and Bee Line Designs Jewelry. 📿
