Most people think Selank just «calms you down». But that’s not really what’s happening.

In a 2016 study, researchers looked at gene expression in the frontal cortex after a single dose. Within 60 minutes, 45 genes changed. 22 were still active 3 hours later. A whole signalling network.

Selank modulates GABA-A receptors, but it also seems to go further:

* slows enkephalin breakdown
* increases BDNF expression
