🔹The Supreme Eurasian Economic Council held meetings in both narrow and expanded formats on Friday.

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that the Eurasian Economic Union Treaty was signed in Astana on May 29, 2014, establishing EAEU Day. He emphasized the need to adapt the Union to global changes and strengthen its competitiveness.

He said the EAEU continues to show steady growth, with combined GDP expected to rise by around 2.5% over the next two years. Despite global market volatility, trade turnover between member states exceeded $95 billion last year, with mutual trade projected to grow by more than 6% and surpass $100 billion.

Tokayev also highlighted digitalization of transport corridors as a key priority. He described the Eurasian transport network as a high-tech system linking Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, covering over 50,000 km of routes, including more than 10,000 km in Kazakhstan.

🎬 The Astana AI Film Festival has officially opened submissions for creators worldwide to participate in its international AI film competition. Entries will be accepted until August 15.

🌍 The competition features two sections: a thematic competition based on this year’s theme, “The Future Worth Living In,” and an open competition with awards for Directing, Visual Language, Storytelling, Concept, and Character Creation.

Participants may enter both sections. The open competition accepts films on any theme, while the thematic competition is reserved for projects created specifically for the festival and inspired by this year’s theme.
