What’s the biggest problem with softwares these days ?

I think that there are lots of problems, but the main one will always be the big tech debt, especially the one resulting from some of the unrealistically set deadlines from business/management which are enforced on engineering teams.
I mean even if the deadline for feature 1 was met, but if the codebase isn’t clean; all of this will backfire when the engineering team has to build on top of it for future features (not to mention how it all affects the bug fixing process)
