The all new mk8 Golf R will have 316 hp and 420Nm of torque and will come only with a 7 speed dsg transmission with a 0-100 in 4.8 sec . And good news for all drift fans tje new Golf R will have drift mode but only when ordered with R Performance Pack which will include the necessary rear diff for Drift Mode, and a ‘Special Mode’ which has been specifically tuned for – you guessed it – getting the Golf R around the Nürburgring Nordschleife as quickly as possible. Currently it set time is 7:51 sec .
