Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming our new and returning students to the Food Security Program at FAFS! 🎉 The event featured insightful speeches from Dean Dr. Ammar Olabi and our Program Director Dr. Ali Chalak, who shared valuable information about the program and its opportunities. Both graduate and diploma students, along with members of the Executive Committee, attended the event, making it a great chance to network and connect. We’re excited to see what this academic year holds for all of us!

Big shoutout to Action Against Hunger (ACF) for hosting our graduate AUB students enrolled in MS Food Security. Their team welcomed our students, along with their professor, to participate in nutrition security projects in the Syrian Refugee Camps in Majdel Amjar!

It was an incredible experience for our students to assist them in screening for malnutrition among children under 5 years old in the Syrian refugee camps. Additionally, their participation in attending awareness sessions on complementary feeding and health-seeking habits for mothers was invaluable.

Their support made a significant difference in enriching our students' learning experience and exposing them to real fieldwork.
