In Lebanon, female healthcare providers are subject to violence everyday as part of their work, as stated above, and women are more prone to violence in this sector than men and less likely to be shown respect.
Violence comes in multiple forms. While verbal violence is the most practiced against the female healthcare providers, other forms are common as well such as physical abuse, threatening, intimidation, and simply being a witness of a tantrum or rage.
