In 2012 , a moment frame building dating from 1950's was strengthened using Fibrwrap system at Karantina's Area next to Beirut Port . The installation was tested by the huge explosion of 4th August 2020. The strengthening system performed precisely as designed and provided protection to the building and to the occupants against the blast and the shock wave.
A nearby building having the same configuration was heavily damaged .
