AUB President Fadlo R. Khuri was featured in a special “Qissa w Shakhsiyah” oral history episode marking AUB’s 160th anniversary.
He reflected on his upbringing, medical career, leadership journey, and the challenges of guiding AUB through the pandemic, Lebanon’s economic crisis, and war.
The interview also explored academic freedom, inclusivity, regional growth, student aspirations, and AUB’s future, while offering personal insights into the influence of family, music, and literature.
The episode will be preserved in the AUB Oral History Collection for future generations.

AUB University Libraries join members of the Modern Heritage Observatory (MoHO) in calling for urgent action to protect South Lebanon’s cultural heritage.

The statement highlights the need to safeguard historic villages, heritage buildings, cultural sites, archives, libraries, and oral traditions through coordinated local and international efforts.

In celebration of World Football Day, and in anticipation of next month's FIFA World Cup, we uncovered a classic featuring one of the greatest footballers of all time: Pelé.

Pelé visited Lebanon in April 1975 as part of a global exhibition tour with the New York Cosmos. During his visit, he conducted a training session on the American University of Beirut’s Green Field with aspiring football players under the supervision of coach Julio Mazzi.
