In celebration of World Oceans Day, the Nature Conservation Center (NCC) is hosting a screening of David Attenborough: A Life on Our Planet, in appreciation of his lifelong efforts and remarkable contribution to nature conservation.
Join us for an inspiring evening of reflection, discussion, and storytelling and enjoy popcorn while watching one of the most powerful documentaries on the future of our planet.

On the International Day for Biological Diversity, Lebanon’s biodiversity is facing severe threats due to the ongoing war, particularly in South Lebanon.
Since protecting biodiversity begins with understanding what is being lost, NCC has taken on the responsibility of documenting the environmental impacts of the war.
If you have witnessed environmental damage or have stories, photos, or narratives to share, we invite you to contribute to this collective documentation effort. Stay tuned as we shed light on the documented cases over the coming weeks.

في اليوم العالمي للتنوع البيولوجي، يواجه التنوع البيولوجي في لبنان تهديدات خطيرة جرّاء الحرب المستمرة، لا سيما في جنوب لبنان.
وانطلاقًا من أن حماية التنوع البيولوجي تبدأ برصد ما يتم فقدانه، أخذ مركز حماية الطبيعة على عاتقه مسؤولية توثيق الأضرار البيئية الناتجة عن الحرب.

Are you a student or a recent graduate looking for a summer internship?

The Nature Conservation Center at AUB is now accepting applications for its 2026 Summer Internship Program: a 3-month, full-time opportunity to gain experience in environmental research and program implementation.

Through mentorship, capacity-building activities, and real project involvement, interns will build transferable skills while working in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment.

This year’s program offers two tracks:

🔹 Internal Support Internships
