زارت وزيرة الشؤون الاجتماعية، حنين السيد، والمديرة الاقليمية لصندوق الأمم المتحدة للسكان في المنطقة العربية، ليلى بكر، ورئيس مؤسسة عامل، الدكتور كامل مهنا، مدرسة وطى المصيطبة في بيروت للاطمئنان على النازحين قسراً، خاصة النساء والفتيات، والمشاركة في مشاورات مباشرة معهم لتحديد احتياجاتهم.
وبتنسيق وثيق مع وزارة الشؤون الاجتماعية في لبنان، يقوم صندوق الأمم المتحدة للسكان والشركاء المحليين بالاستجابة لتعزيز حماية النساء والفتيات خلال هذه الأزمة.

Displaced mothers in Lebanon welcome babies' new lives with hope and fear When Israeli strikes rained down on southern Lebanon in early March, Hawraa Houmani, 29 years old and almost nine months pregnant, fled her village near Nabatieh to a shelter in a school in Beirut. She no longer had access to the doctor that had cared for her throughout her pregnancy.
