Job Role:

• Participates in client/project meeting(s) for highly complex project definition, needs assessment and design review.
• Evaluates the needs and requirements of the users and provides technical expertise in the development of technical, structural and organizational specifications.
• Determine appropriateness of data for storage and optimum storage organization.
• Install and maintaining the Oracle database software.
• Create storage database structures with high-level security features.
• Alter storage structures to meet the evolving needs of the company.
• Set up database user accounts.
• Train users on how to access the information in the database.
• Find and debugging malfunctioning programs affecting the database integrity.
• Create autonomous database backups.
• Regularly update the database security protocols.
• Coordinate project activities with other personnel or departments.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven work experience as a Database Administrator.
• Oracle management tools (Data Guard, RMAN, Data pump). Familiarity with Oracle database design, coding, and documentation.
• Knowledge of database backup procedures, recovery systems, and SQL.
• Architecture design principles. Hands on experience with DB standards and end user applications-translating
• capacity requirements into infrastructure deployment technology
• Knowledge of programming languages and API.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to visualize algorithmic structures.
• Experience with Oracle Exadata and Golden Gate.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or any related field.
Ideally Oracle Certified DB Professional (OCP)
