This is a powerful reflection. Teaching is more than just a job — it is a responsibility that shapes lives, minds, confidence, and even a child’s future. Children often become reflections of what they are exposed to daily, and teachers play a major role in that development.

At the same time, teachers are human too, and many are under tremendous pressure with limited support and resources. That is why proper training, emotional support, accountability, and regular self-assessment are so important within the education system.

Schools should always be safe spaces for children, and educators should be supported in a way that helps them lead with patience, professionalism, compassion, and integrity.

The question “Are we the standard?” is one that all of society should reflect on — not just teachers alone. Our children deserve positive examples, protection, guidance, and environments where they can truly thrive.
