🐢 Happy World Turtle Day! 🐢
Today we celebrate one of the ocean’s most beloved residents - the sea turtle.
Whether it’s the sponge-eating hawksbill or the seagrass-grazing green turtle, these ancient mariners have been navigating our oceans for over 100 million years. They play a vital role in maintaining healthy coral reefs and seagrass ecosystems, making them true guardians of the sea.
We’re fortunate to encounter these magnificent creatures in the waters of St. Lucia, and every sighting is a reminder of why protecting our marine environment matters.
If you’re lucky enough to meet a turtle underwater, remember to admire from a respectful distance and let them continue their journey undisturbed.
Protect the ocean. Protect the turtles. Protect the future.

Celebrating June 1 World Reef Day at
🌊🪸
To mark World Reef Day on June 1, our dedicated Reef Life and Renewal Team planted a new batch of young Elkhorn coral onto the reef directly in front of Anse Chastanet.
Carefully removed from our coral nursery and transplanted to their new home, these corals will continue to grow and strengthen one of Saint Lucia’s most important marine ecosystems. Elkhorn coral thrives in shallow waters, making it easily visible to snorkelers and divers exploring the vibrant reef just steps from our beaches.
As one of the Caribbean’s most important reef-building corals, Elkhorn provides essential habitat for marine life while helping to protect coastlines from wave action and erosion. Through our ongoing coral restoration efforts, we are helping to rebuild reef resilience and ensure that future generations can enjoy the beauty and biodiversity of Saint Lucia’s underwater world.
We invite our guests to witness these restoration efforts firsthand and learn more about the vital role healthy coral reefs play in sustaining our oceans.
Happy 50th Anniversary, Joey and Ronnie!
Wishing you both the happiest of celebrations as you mark 50 years together at our beautiful Anse Chastanet Resort.
Cheers to you both - enjoy every moment of this special milestone!
