Training Programme for Counsellors – Pelgahathenna Training Center, Passara

I participated as a resource person at the Pelgahathenna Training Center in Passara to support counsellors across Sri Lanka. The session focused on strengthening their knowledge and practical skills, with special attention to applying psychological theories to real-world practice.

It was meaningful to guide dedicated professionals who work hard to support the mental health and wellbeing of our communities. I value this opportunity to contribute to their professional development and promote quality counselling services in Sri Lanka.

I conducted a Mental Health Awareness Programme at Vishaka College, Badulla, focusing on helping students strengthen their emotional wellbeing.

During the session, students practiced: ✅ Relaxation techniques
✅ Problem-solving skills
✅ Assertiveness skills
✅ Positive self-talk

The girls participated with great enthusiasm, and it was meaningful to see them learning skills that support their daily life and long-term mental health.
