The government spent public money to rescue them. Later the same President lost his post after public anger. Now during tensions in the Middle East, some proudly say they will stay in the UAE because it’s safer. Funny how ‘home’ becomes important only when it’s convenient.”

When a politician is gunned down in his own office, it’s not just a crime against one man — it’s an attack on democracy itself. No matter who he was or what cases he faced, no one deserves to be executed without trial. When the government tries to justify murder by pointing to court cases, it sends a chilling message: that some lives are less worthy of justice.

Rule of law must prevail — always, for everyone. Otherwise, we don’t have justice. We only have power.
