This month marks the one year anniversary of the death of the famous writer and former superintendent M.A.M.A. Wahid. This post is for that purpose.
After graduating from Zahira College, Colombo, he graduated with a bachelor's degree. Dr. Wahid holds a BA (Hons) in Tamil from the University of Colombo and the University of Kelaniya and a Diploma in Tamil Media.

He is pursuing a postgraduate degree at the University of Peradeniya. He is called the "Philosophical Student."

After completing his education, he served as the Principal of Al Hikma College, Colombo. He has been a teacher for 40 years and has been the Vice Chancellor of St. Sebastian's College, Colombo for the last 25 years.He won the "Best Teacher" award in 2001, 2002 and 2003. Gamini Fonseka holds the title of "Doctor" (DOCTORATE).Former President of Sri Lanka R. Mr. Jayawardena holds a Special Degree in Science Science Pradeep. He is also known in the Tamil media as "Lover of Education", which means "Lover of Education".

He was a short story writer who volunteered with his first short story "Doubt" and won 14 Best Awards. He won first place at the World Short Story Competition and earned the nickname "Short Story Writer Wahid". His short story has been published in "Buck Flowers" magazine in India and another of his short stories has been translated into Russian.

He is the founder of UTI (United Tutorial Institute) in Colombo and in charge of the Tamil section. He has taught BA, G.A.Q classes and has produced hundreds of students as graduates. As a result of his outstanding achievements in 2014, all the 14 students he studied were simultaneously admitted to the University of Jaffna. Many of his creators work as graduate teachers at Zahira College, Colombo and other districts.

Winner of the 2012 Kalabushana State Awards 2012 held at the John de Silva Campus, Colombo. M.A.M.A. Mr. Wahid is a Justice of the Peace and holds an honorary doctorate from the International University.

Mr. M.A.M.A. Wahid passed away on March 11, 2020.

இந்த மாதம் புகழ்பெற்ற எழுத்தாளரும் முன்னாள் அதிபருமான M.A.M.A. வாஹித்தின் மரணத்தின் ஒரு ஆண்டு நிறைவைக் குறிக்கிறது. இந்த இடுகை அந்த நோக்கத்திற்காக.
கொழும்பின் ஜாஹிரா கல்லூரியில் கல்வியை முடித்த பின்னர், இரட்டை பட்டதாரி என்ற பட்டத்தைப் பெற்றார். திரு. M.A.M.A.வாஹித் கொழும்பு பல்கலைக்கழகம் மற்றும் கெலனியா பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் பி.ஏ (ஹான்ஸ்) தமிழையும், தமிழ் ஊடகத்தில் டிப்ளோமாவையும் பெற்றுள்ளார். பேராதனைப் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் முதுகலை படிப்பைத் தொடர்கிறார். அவர் "தத்துவ மாணவர்" என்று அழைக்கப்படுகிறார்.

கல்வியை முடித்த பின்னர், கொழும்பின் அல் ஹிக்மா கல்லூரியின் முதல்வராக பணியாற்றினார். 40 ஆண்டுகளாக ஆசிரியராக பணியாற்றிய இவர் கடந்த 25 ஆண்டுகளாக கொழும்பின் புனித செபாஸ்டியன் கல்லூரியின் துணை முதல்வராக பணியாற்றி வருகிறார். அவர் 2001, 2002 மற்றும் 2003 ஆம் ஆண்டுகளில் "சிறந்த ஆசிரியர்" விருதை வென்றார். காமினி பொன்சேகா "டாக்டர்" (DOCTORATE) என்ற பட்டத்தை வைத்திருக்கிறார். இலங்கையின் முன்னாள் ஜனாதிபதி ஆர். திரு. ஜெயவர்தன அறிவியல் அறிவியல் பிரதீப்பில் சிறப்பு பட்டம் பெற்றார். அவர் தமிழ் ஊடகங்களில் "கல்வின் காதலர்" என்றும் அழைக்கப்படுகிறார், அதாவது "கல்வியின் காதலன்".

அவர் ஒரு சிறுகதை எழுத்தாளராக இருந்தார், அவர் தனது முதல் சிறுகதையான "சந்தேகம்" உடன் முன்வந்து 14 சிறந்த விருதுகளை வென்றார். உலக சிறுகதை போட்டியில் முதல் இடத்தை வென்ற அவர் "சிறுகதை எழுத்தாளர் வாஹித்" என்று செல்லப்பெயர் பெற்றார். இவரது சிறுகதை இந்தியாவில் "பக் ஃப்ளவர்ஸ்" இதழில் வெளியிடப்பட்டுள்ளது, மேலும் அவரது மற்றொரு சிறுகதை ரஷ்ய மொழியில் மொழிபெயர்க்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

கொழும்பில் யுடிஐ (யுனைடெட் டுடோரியல் இன்ஸ்டிடியூட்) நிறுவனர் மற்றும் தமிழ் பிரிவின் பொறுப்பாளராக உள்ளார். அவர் BA, G.A.Q வகுப்புகளை கற்பித்ததோடு நூற்றுக்கணக்கான மாணவர்களை பட்டதாரிகளாக உருவாக்கியுள்ளார். 2014 ஆம் ஆண்டில் அவர் செய்த சிறந்த சாதனைகளின் விளைவாக, அவர் படித்த 14 மாணவர்களும் ஒரே நேரத்தில் யாழ்ப்பாண பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் அனுமதிக்கப்பட்டனர். அவரது படைப்பாளிகள் பலர் ஜாஹிரா கல்லூரி, கொழும்பு மற்றும் பிற மாவட்டங்களில் பட்டதாரி ஆசிரியர்களாக பணியாற்றுகின்றனர்.

கொழும்பின் ஜான் டி சில்வா வளாகத்தில் நடைபெற்ற 2012 கலாபுஷனா மாநில விருதுகள் 2012 வெற்றியாளர். டாக்டர். M.A.M.A. வாஹித் சமாதான நீதிபதி மற்றும் சர்வதேச பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் கௌரவ டாக்டர் பட்டம் பெற்றவர்.
