Formed at Musicmatters School in Colombo, we are The Standards Project, a band that reflects the evolving sound of modern jazz. Each of us brings our own musical background and influences, blending instrumental and vocal jazz standards into performances that feel both refined and full of life.
Our music is built on a shared love for improvisation and authenticity, qualities that continue to shape who we are on and off stage.
We recently collaborated with The Artefact Magazine on a visual series that captures our creative rhythm through portrait and group imagery. Known for highlighting fashion, art, and emerging culture, The Artefact turned its lens toward our world of sound — capturing the nuance, energy, and quiet confidence that define The Standards Project
