Dialog Axiata, in collaboration with Anthem Studios, unveiled one of Sri Lanka’s most immersive virtual reality (VR) Avurudu experiences, bringing a modern digital twist to traditional Sinhala and Tamil New Year celebrations.
The experience, launched at Colombogama in Viharamahadevi Park, recreated the charm and spirit of a traditional Sinhala and Tamil New Year village through cutting-edge VR technology.
Blending culture with innovation, the initiative offers visitors a unique opportunity to engage with Avurudu traditions and games in an interactive virtual environment, introducing a new way for younger generations to connect with the festive season.
The project marks a significant step in reimagining cultural experiences, combining heritage with immersive digital storytelling to create a future-forward celebration of Avurudu.
