Branding:
Island Hostels is a young startup that is aiming big with the goal of a network of connected hostels dotted around the island. They had a logo done, and were looking to find a refined approach with their brand language. We reworked the logo and set the guidelines for marketing/ communication media, such as brochures and helped with the brand identity presence within their properties.
Logo Approach:
The original Island Hostels logo had tried to bring together all the elements of a holiday in Sri Lanka, from the beaches to the city to the palm trees and the food.
We stripped this back to focus on the island but in an abstracted form that would form the basis for a brand identity that would easily adapt to different locations and also different elements of the hostels, such as the room numbers and brochures.
Outcome:
The outcome is a bold logo that is immediately recognisable and yet flexible enough to support multiple colour options and variations across the various hostels both existing and planned.
