Team Armadillo has been quiet for 2025, observing the 4x4 competition scene and how to reinvent the fun factor into racing. Team Armadillo has always been about building racing disciplines and serving as a bridge for the next generation talent to reach new heights.
2026 We will be having our own activities calendar at our own racing facility at Thunder ⚡ Valley off road park, and preparing our teams to take part in 4x4 events that run according to the Sri Lanka 4x4 events council protocols.
Some of teams are retiring and ready to introduce their machine to new blood. Potential teams can rent or own our proven rigs, to be backed by our experienced support team.
Our goal is to send 3 x competition trucks to Rainforest Challenge Malaysia in 2027 for the 30th anniversary grand final event. We have the infrastructure to achieve this goal.

A mixed bag of fortunes at Thundermac cliff hanger challenge organised by Horana 4WD Club

Patience and Perseverence makes it to the finish line. Team 180 Damith Karunathilake Nadawa Gajanayke takes the Land Cruiser to 3 Rd overall in the extreme category at Thunder ⚡ mac cliffhanger challenge. Thank you Horana 4WD Club for setting up an exciting and technical track. Our 1 HZ engine is still put through torture after 3/4 million kilometres, Thank you Toyota Lanka Toyota Genuine Motor Oil for preserving this engine. Thank you Würth Group for the fuel additive, no turbo no problem.
