🌱 HWPL Colombo Region | “Together We Grow” – Lunawa Lagoon Tree Plantation

Together, we grow. Together, we build peace.

The “Together We Grow” Tree Plantation Program at Lunawa Lagoon brought together government leaders, civil society, youth organizations, and volunteers to take action for environmental sustainability and community unity.

With the presence of the Mayor of Moratuwa and respected community leaders, 70 trees were planted and 50 plants were distributed — symbolizing our shared responsibility to protect nature and cultivate peace from the grassroots level.

One powerful step toward peace and sustainability.

The “Together We Grow” Tree Plantation Program in Minipe–Hasalaka brought together youth leaders, government institutions, and civil society to protect the beautiful surroundings of the Mahaweli River.

With strong support from the Divisional Secretariat of Minipe and partner organizations, this initiative showed that when youth lead, communities thrive.

Peace grows where responsibility begins.

🌱 HWPL Northern Region (Jaffna) | “Together We Grow” – Chavakkacheri Tree Plantation

210 participants. 100 trees. One shared vision for peace.

The “Together We Grow” Tree Plantation Program in Chavakkacheri brought together government officials, community leaders, partner organizations, and volunteers to take action for environmental sustainability and peace-building.

With the support of the Divisional Secretariat and the signing of 3 MOUs, this initiative marks the beginning of long-term collaboration in the Northern Region.

🌍✨ 11th HWPL World Peace Summit ✨🌍

Over 800 global leaders gathered in Cheongju, Korea to share achievements and vision for peace under the theme “Uniting for Peace and Fulfilling Humanity’s Duty Together.” 💙

From expanding support for the DPCW, advancing peace education, and strengthening interfaith cooperation, this summit showed how governments, organizations, and citizens worldwide are working together for sustainable peace. 🌏🤝

This year marks 11 years since the 2014 HWPL World Peace Summit 🌿.
Under the theme “Uniting for Peace and Fulfilling Humanity’s Duty Together,” leaders, organizations, and citizens from across the globe will gather to share how governments and civil society can work together to build lasting peace.

We are honored that Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 will also be joining the Summit in Korea, adding its voice and vision to this global movement.
