It needs balance. It requires the perfect amount of shade, sun, water, soil, temperature, placement, and nutrition to thrive.
 
You are NO different.
 
To live well, you need the perfect amount of rest, hard work, challenge, fun, peace, and love.
 
If all you had was dark times, you wouldn’t be able to grow.
 
In the same way, if all you ever had was sunshine, you’d never become your best self.
 
You’re a complex being with complex needs. Treat yourself as such 💛

“Success” is whatever you

We always think we’re running out of time...
But the truth is that you have endless opportunities to do what you really want.
 
To start a new business, to make a life-changing decision, to go after what you really want… to be the person you’ve always wanted to be.
 
When you realise what you’re truly capable of, all the anxiety and indecisiveness melts away. You suddenly have clarity.
 
You know what you want, how to give it to yourself, and what you need to do in order to create real success in your life.
 
Real success. This is something that only you can define for yourself.
 
Maybe real success looks like owning a small business, taking a new course, learning a new skill, or living with more purpose.
 
The point is that whatever you want to do in this life, you can do it with confidence, ease, intelligence, and success. You really can.
 
And more than anything, your version of success doesn’t have to be perfectly planned. The rules were created to be broken.
 
Don’t be afraid to be creative, bold, and honest with yourself about what you want.

✨✨Our physical bodies offer one of the most intimate journeys to self-discovery, at least in my experience.

We go through physical pain, emotional trauma that manifests in our bones, and carry the weight of judgements presented by the world around us. Each of our journeys are unique, but also offer insight into the healing of others and that makes us connected.✨

I fought for years to find control of a body that was scarred by behaviours of others and by my own behaviours too. In the process of trying to rebuild what felt broken, I tried to force myself into yet another mold that wasn’t mine to embody. I pushed myself to become the visually perfect ‘yogi’, to make my body aesthetically ‘correct’ because once I could do that I would be healed, right?...... Wrong......✨

As the years pass, and as the time I spend on that space I call my mat grows, I continue to learn of a freedom that’s more expansive than my physical body but also rests within it. It starts with my breath and guides movement intuitively. It anchors me in the moment and invites me to arrive exactly as I am. This healing is an understanding that both light and dark exist, it’s a freedom from attachment to both, and an acknowledgment that I will continue to experience both. I break the mold each day and invite my breath to send awareness to deeper corners of my body as I dive deeper into its exploration. This is a practice of understanding. This is a practice of love.✨

There is perfection and there is a perfect yogi. It is me, it is you, right here and right now. Exactly as you are. Breathing and moving in whatever way suits your soul. I urge you to continue to break the mold. Dive deeper. Understand more. And love yourself with the most expansive inhales.✨
