residing in colombo started her long journey in karate on the 25th of January, 2018. The 10 year old child had no idea of what was ahead of her. But through her compassion and determination of the sport, she has successfully reached this extremely wonderful phase of her life... she started like no other child but mastered the perfect stances and moves and won the heart of her coach and teammates. Her love and enthusiasm towards karate made her achieve her shodan black belt in November, 2019. Indeed all this was possible to achieve with a great coach (Sensei ) who instilled the art of karate in her. His dedication in this field and hard work to bring every student to great heights is truly inspiring. He is Sensei T.A.S Saldeen who is truly a great example from whom we learn not only the sport but also discipline, punctuality and much more. Maryam AK has participated in both national and international tournaments and successfully achieved gold and silver medals, this has motivated her more and more in this field.
