Dipped Products PLC has inaugurated two advanced Glove Dipping Plants at our Kottawa manufacturing facility, strengthening our high-value glove manufacturing capabilities and reinforcing Sri Lanka’s position in specialised protective glove exports.
This milestone introduces first-of-its-kind robotic technologies to Sri Lanka’s glove manufacturing sector.
From a fully automated Electrician’s Glove Dipping Plant with advanced robotic batch transfer, to a Natural Rubber and Blended Glove Dipping Plant powered by synchronised multi-robot dipping technology, this expansion marks a new era of precision, consistency and automation.
It reflects how DPL is advancing its 50-year legacy through technology, engineering excellence and a clear vision for the future of hand protection.

Protecting biodiversity begins with small, meaningful actions.
DPL marked another step in its sustainability journey at the EcoPulse Nature Reserve within our Hanwella manufacturing facility, through the launch of “Birds, Bees and Butterflies”, an initiative to create a sanctuary for biodiversity within our operating environment. The initiative was held in alignment with World Bee Day and the International Day for Biological Diversity, commemorated worldwide.
As part of the initiative, we introduced three bee colonies to support pollination and strengthen the natural ecosystem within the reserve. Our teams also planted native plant species, helping create a richer habitat for bees, butterflies, birds and other forms of life that sustain biodiversity.
Aligned with the DPL Pulse ESG Roadmap 2030, this initiative reflects our commitment to protecting and restoring ecosystems within and beyond our operations. It forms part of our broader effort to embed biodiversity, climate responsibility and environmental stewardship into the way we grow.
