The Delight name and its prominence was not achieved with in an over night but only through many Years of sublimate eagerness arose in Proprietors of Delight to make a fresh start and do some thing creative by using their experiences in the bakery field. In this particular period it was a rare opportunity to find out best as well as quality Sri Lankan Sweets, Cakes, Varieties of Bread and pastries in and around Kandy City. Consequently in order to fulfill this indispensability Delight Bakers under the name of Delight a new business venture was established in 1972 at the premises of Kandy Central Market as its key note in the business territory.

Marginalizing profits and benefits this establishment concerned about the quality of the products and the excellence in serving the best of them to the customer. In that respect Delight name has increased its popularity among customers and in the competitive market for nearly 40 years. At times lack of knowledge in new technology was an issue for our company. But By promoting and educating the management by participate them for National as well as international forums, lectures and giving vocational trainings for the employers produced effects in much more beneficial manner. Apart from that short comings arose in finding new equipments in the local market was a grand wall against our company, But by importing Machineries from overseas we successfully able to produce quality products in an efficient manner.

At present Delight graded as an “A Class” food provider from the Kandy Municipal council due its unique way of serving the best and quality food with the awareness of the growing demands has expanded and spread its business exceedingly up to 10 branches, almost prime locations in Kandy city and suburbs such as Dalada veediya Kandy, Colombo street Kandy, Kotugodalla Veediya Kandy, Peradeniya Kandy, Aniwatta Kandy, Katugastota Kandy , Warakapola .It is true that we are experts in all kind of Bakery products including Bread, Fast food, Cakes, special verities of gateaux, all type of Sri Lankan traditional delicacies plus catering services.
