Sri Lanka rescues crew from another Iranian navy ship
Sri Lanka has rescued over 200 crew members from a second Iranian vessel near its coast, a day after a US submarine sank the Ir@nian frigate IRIS Dena, ki_lling 87 sailors.
The ship was moved to Trincomalee port for safety. The IRIS Dena had been returning from a multinational naval exercise in the Bay of Bengal when struck about 44 nautical miles off Sri Lanka.
The US confirmed the torpedo att@ck, marking the first sinking of an enemy w@rship by a US submarine since World W@r II. Sri Lanka emphasizes neutrality, safety, and calls for de-escalation in the con_flict.
