”Learning Spaces for a Better Future” - The President's Scout Award Community Service Project of Senior Scout S.T.Kulatilaka will be conducted together with the help of scouts of 16th Colombo Scout Troop at Buddhaghosha Maha Vidyalaya, Kalubowila, to repair and repaint the main hall.

*Scouts Go Solar*

Junior and Senior Scouts of 16th Colombo Scout Troop ⚜️ took part in a Scouts Go Solar 🌞 activity day on 11th August 2025 at the college Scout room premises.

The activity day was organised by Senior Scout Randiv Fernando.

Scouts engaged in learning about solar energy as a renewable energy source and engaging in fun and educational activities under the Earth Tribe🌏 Programme for Scouts Go Solar under

- Impact of the sun on health and environment
- Uses of solar energy
- Go Solar

Scouts had hands on experience making model Solar cookers, sundial, trying their hand at Solar art and trying out DIY solar gadgets and games to gain knowledge on Sustainable Development Goals

This programme motivated and inspired the Scouts to do the Scout Go Solar Badge.
