✨ 🎒 Standing with Children, Rebuilding Futures

🫱🏾‍🫲🏽 Funding Partner: SLBV – Sweden

In the aftermath of the Ditwah Cyclone, some of the affected children needed support for recovering from the disrupted routines and lost school essentials.
As part of our commitment to post-emergency support, our team stepped in to ensure that education remains uninterrupted for those who need it most.

📚 Through close collaboration with school managements/communities, Non-Formal Education Officers, counselling teachers, and local community leaders, we identified the most vulnerable children and provided them with essential school materials and backpacks.

💙 This initiative is more than just distribution; it is about restoring dignity, rebuilding confidence, and giving children the opportunity to return to education with hope.

🤝 We are deeply grateful to all partners and community members who helped make this effort meaningful and impactful.

Together, we continue to support recovery, one child, one step, one future at a time.

🌿 Nurturing Healthy Children Starts at Home

As part of our continued commitment to child health and well-being, our programme team previously conducted an engaging and interactive session with students, focusing on practical nutrition habits and sustainable lifestyle choices.

We are pleased to share these key messages with parents and caregivers, recognizing your vital role in shaping lifelong healthy habits.

🥗 Why Childhood Nutrition MattersGood nutrition supports children’s growth, strengthens immunity, enhances learning ability, and lays the foundation for a healthier future.

💡 What You Can Do at Home:
- Encourage balanced meals with fruits, vegetables, and whole foods
- Limit processed snacks and sugary drinks
- Maintain regular meal times and healthy routines
- Lead by example, means children follow what they see

💬 The session was well received by school management, highlighting the importance of continued awareness among both pupils and parents.
At the end of the programme, seeds of nutritional plants were distributed among parents encouraging “Home Gardening”.

Let’s continue working together to support healthier lifestyles for our children at school and at home.

“Together, we’re building healthier futures by one child, one family, one community at a time.”
