🎊 New Year Campaign 2026 🎊

Ilanthail Child Clubs, Karaveddy West Village, organized a New Year campaign against alcohol and drug abuse. The campaign was conducted in the Karaveddy Division, Jaffna District, to raise awareness among the community, especially children and youth, on the harmful effects of alcohol and drugs.

🚫 Say No to Alcohol & Drugs 🚫

The Mental Health Awareness Programme was successfully held at the Pallepola Divisional Secretariat. The session was facilitated by Ms. Kumudini Disanayaka, Community Counselor for Mental Illness at the District Hospital, Matale, who served as the resource person.

A total of 71 participants attended the programme, including government officials such as the Divisional Secretary (DS), Development Officers (DO), Counseling Officer, Child Rights Promotion Officer (CRPO), Women Development Officer (WDO), Dhamma School teachers, and other community representatives. The programme provided valuable insights into mental health awareness and strengthened the capacity of participants to better understand and respond to mental health issues within their communities.
