Training Programme on API Tax

The Management Development Training Unit (MDTU) conducted a Training Programme on API Tax on 10th February 2026 at the MDTU in Trincomalee. The training programme was specifically designed for Accountants and Officers engaged in financial and accounting functions within the Eastern Provincial Council. The training programme focused on clarifying current tax frameworks, minimizing errors in tax handling, and ensuring accurate and timely compliance in accordance with prevailing regulations. The programme was conducted in the Tamil medium to facilitate effective learning and active participation. Mr.K.Sivatharsan, Tax Consultant at KSB Accountants, served as the resource person. Drawing from his professional expertise in taxation and consultancy, he provided practical insights, real-world examples, and guidance on addressing common challenges faced by accounting officers in tax-related matters. A total of 60 officers from various institutions under the Eastern Provincial Council participated in the training programme.
