BUCHANAN, The Assigned Judge of the 2nd Judicial Circuit Court Grand Bassa County for the May Term of Court, Judge J. Kennedy Peabody is calling for a holistic reform of the Judiciary System.

Judge Peabody made the call on Monday, May 9, 2022 during the opening of the May term of Court in Upper Buchanan.

According to Judge Peabody, there is a growing need for reform in the Judiciary System.

Judge Peabody, who is also the Resident Circuit Judge for the Civil Law Court in Montserrado County, said that the Judiciary reform will play a central role, an effort of the Judiciary to strengthen the rule of Law.

Delivering his charge at the Court Opening, Judge Peabody noted that the reform should take into consideration substantive and Procedural Law Reforms.

He added that the Judiciary reform should also seek to create the right incentives for both Judges, lawyers, and all the Judicial actors.

However, the assigned Judge urged every Judicial actor to do everything humanly possible to remove barriers that are hindrance to accessing Justice.
