4,635 Liberians employed by ArcelorMittal Liberia in 10 months , first Of it kind !

ArcelorMittal Liberia (AML) has released data on Liberian employment by its contractors in 2025:
4,635 Liberians were employed by 73 contractor companies (Jan-Oct 2025)

2,883 were skilled workers; 1,558 from fenceline communities

1,752 were unskilled workers; 1,229 from fenceline communities

54% of skilled and 70% of unskilled workers were from fenceline communities

Jobs are advertised through AML's Community Relations Section, prioritizing fenceline communities as per a January 2025 mandate. 💼

The Third Amendment to ArcelorMittal Liberia's Mineral Development Agreement brings significant benefits to Liberia:
- $200M signature bonus to the Rescue Mission Administration

Increased community development funds ($5M/year for Nimba, B**g, Grand Bassa)

More Liberian jobs and leadership roles (50% management in 1 year, 90% in 10 years)

Priority for Liberian businesses and scholarships for students

Infrastructure upgrades (roads, bridges, railway)
