🕊️ Saudi Arabia’s beloved “Sleeping Prince,” Prince Al‑Waleed bin Khalid bin Talal Al Saud, has died at 36 after nearly 20 years in a coma.

💔 Tragic backstory & enduring care:

At just 15 (in 2005), he was critically injured in a car crash while studying at a military academy in London, suffering severe brain trauma and internal bleeding.

He remained on life support at King Abdulaziz Medical City in Riyadh, with his father, Prince Khaled bin Talal, steadfastly refusing to cease treatment.

🙏 Moments of hope:

Over the years, small gestures—like lifting his fingers in 2020—sparked waves of emotion and faith across the kingdom.

His hospital room became a sanctuary for prayers and spiritual visits, drawing visitors seeking solace.

🕋 Final farewell & tributes:

His passing on July 19, 2025 was confirmed via a heartfelt Quranic tribute from his father on social media.

Funeral prayers were held on July 20 after Asr at Imam Turki bin Abdullah Mosque (men) and after Dhuhr at King Faisal Hospital (women), with condolences open till July 22 at Al‑Fakhariyah Palace.

The Global Imams Council and thousands on social media joined in mourning, honoring his father’s unwavering devotion and the prince’s spiritual legacy.
