Dear Members and Stakeholders,

Reflection on Our Journey in 2024

As we conclude another year, I want to take a moment to reflect on our journey together in 2024. This year has been marked by significant achievements, resilience, and a commitment to our mission as an alumni chapter.

Key Initiatives and Achievements

We successfully implemented several key initiatives aimed at empowering the community and fostering leadership. Notable among these was the Peace Building Training for youth and local leaders, which focused on reducing electoral violence and creating a platform for peaceful engagement during the 2023 elections in Liberia. This training provided participants with essential skills to navigate conflicts and promote dialogue, thereby contributing to a more stable electoral environment.

Additionally, we conducted a Civic Voter Education Program (CVE) that played a crucial role in informing citizens about their voting rights and responsibilities. This program was designed to enhance civic knowledge among voters, ensuring they understood the electoral process and could participate effectively in democracy.

Furthermore, we conducted two successful cohorts of the Emerging Leaders Professional Development Training program, benefiting 120 participants. These training programs have reached over 300 individuals, equipping them with vital skills in areas such as civic engagement, public management, entrepreneurship, and conflict resolution. By focusing on these areas, we aim to cultivate a new generation of leaders who are prepared to address community challenges.

In achieving these milestones, we have maintained good standing with the government by legally registering our chapter and fulfilling other legal requirements to operate in Liberia. This compliance not only strengthens our credibility but also enhances our ability to serve the community effectively.

I would like to express my deepest gratitude to our dedicated team, alumni, and partners. Your unwavering support and collaboration have been pivotal in driving our mission forward. Together, we have created a vibrant community that supports growth and innovation.

Looking Ahead to 2025

We are excited about the opportunities that await us in 2025. Our goals include expanding our programs, enhancing our outreach efforts, and further strengthening our partnerships.

Thank you for your commitment and support to the YALI RLC Alumni Liberia Chapter. Together, we can continue to transform lives and build a brighter future.
