Paramount Chief Gbaimah Lauds Rep. Womba for Pioneering Pipe-Borne Water Project

By Staff Writer

The Paramount Chief of Panta Administrative in B**g County Electoral District #4, Justine Gbaimah, has praised Representative Robert Womba for initiating a pipe-borne water project aimed at providing safe and accessible drinking water to residents in the District.

The initiative will benefit residents particularly from Belleh-Mu and Forequelleh.

Speaking during the commissioning of the project, Chief Gbaimah described the initiative as the first of its kind in the area, noting that for many years, residents have struggled to access clean and safe drinking water, describing it “a life-changing intervention.”

Paramount chief Gbaimah further assured that the communities benefiting from the project will put in place measures to maintain and protect the facilities to ensure long-term use and sustainability for the benefit of all residents.

According to him, the community will take ownership of the project by working together to protect and maintain the water system for generations to come.

For his part, Representative Womba’s office representative, James Jenteh, said the pipe-borne water initiative reflects the lawmaker’s commitment to improving the well-being of his constituents through practical and people-centered development.

According to Jenteh, the water project is part of a broader plan to provide safe and accessible drinking water across the district.

Jenteh further disclosed that projects are currently being implemented in major towns, including Gbalatuah, Niama, Belefenai, and Gbonota, among others.

He emphasized that the project is Representative Womba’s own way of responding to the long-standing water challenges faced by residents of District #4, and further disclosed that the goal of the lawmaker is to ensure that every major town in the district has access to safe drinking water.

Residents of Belleh-mu and Forequelleh have welcomed the project, describing it as a major relief that will improve public health and reduce the burden of traveling long distances to fetch water.

The pipe-borne water initiative is expected to significantly improve living conditions and support community development across the district.
