Pundits Question President Boakai’s Whereabouts Amid Limited Updates on Turkey Visit

Following the Executive Mansion’s announcement that President Joseph Boakai departed for Istanbul, Türkiye, for a working visit aimed at strengthening Liberia-Türkiye relations and promoting investment opportunities, some pundits have begun questioning the lack of public updates on the president’s engagements.

The Executive Mansion said President Boakai was expected to hold high-level meetings, including discussions with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, on issues of mutual interest and areas of cooperation between the two countries.

However, days after his departure, no further official information has been released regarding the president’s activities or meetings in Türkiye, raising concerns among some observers. The president is expected to return to Liberia this weekend.
