Diplomatic Update:

The Chinese Embassy in Liberia says President Xi has announced that China has chosen Shenzhen City of Guangdong Province as the venue for the 33rd APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting in November next year.

"Shenzhen is a modern international metropolis that only decades ago was a primitive fishing village," according to the embassy.

A release from the Embassy notes that the transformation of Shenzhen is a miracle in world history created by the Chinese people and an important window showcasing China’s steadfast commitment to the mutually beneficial strategy of opening up.
