Global Opinion on U.S. War with Iran

Public opinion in many of the world’s most powerful countries shows limited support for a U.S.-led war against Iran. In the United States, recent surveys suggest about 25–41% of citizens support military action, while many prefer diplomatic solutions. Across Europe, support is generally low. In the United Kingdom, about 28% support strikes while nearly 49% oppose them. Germany shows around 42% support, and in Italy, roughly 44% support intervention but 56% oppose it.

In Asia, public sentiment is even more cautious. Citizens in China, Japan, and India tend to favor diplomacy and stability rather than military conflict, though detailed polling numbers are limited. Russia also shows strong public skepticism toward U.S. military action.
A major exception is Israel, where security concerns drive strong support for action against Iran, with surveys indicating over 80% support.

Overall, global public opinion largely favors diplomacy over war.
